A week before her wedding, former Miss South Africa, Natasha Joubert (now Vermaak) glided into the Forever New store at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre in Pretoria. The occasion: The launch of a collaborative range with Forever New, aptly named In White. This was merely the beginning, though, as she was whisked away to Cape Town thereafter, for an In White sunset celebration on the Mirage Catamaran, followed by her actual wedding mere days later.
Inspired by the challenge of finding the perfect outfits for her pre-wedding celebrations, the all-white fashion collection – consisting of mini and maxi dresses – is a solution for many women who face the same problem when it comes to shopping for the perfect celebratory outfit. The collection boasts a variety of white dresses, including two beautifully laced mini dresses, a strapless pleated maxi dress, a halter maxi dress and a stunning, slimming Quinn Fringe Bodycon Maxi Dress.
Celebrating with the bride-to-be, those of us in attendance were able to fit the dresses, walk the fitting room isle, snap a few pics and share in the anticipation of the big day. Now already married, Natasha’s energy was infectious as fashion fans tried on the beautiful dresses. I was in awe of the figure flattering fits and the carefully curated designs and choosing a favourite was nearly impossible.

Forever New’s Menlyn Park store was transformed into a celebratory space for the morning. The entrance was beautifully decorated with white roses and whimsical Gypsophila and guests were offered a glass of bubbly on arrival. Serving as one of the many pre-wedding celebrations leading up to Natasha’s big day, guests even got to take home some cake from none other than Château Gâteaux. It was a beautiful morning filled with pure appreciation of fashion and collaboration.
After visiting Forever New’s head office in Australia, Natasha’s relationship with the brand has only grown from strength to strength and considering the success of this collaboration, one can’t help but wonder what’s next. Who knows? Perhaps the honeymoon serves as inspiration for a resort collection! For now, you’ll find the In White collection in selected stores (including the one in Menlyn Park Shopping Centre) and online.
