Motherhood is special. What a privilege to have be

Motherhood is special. What a privilege to have been given the opportunity to teach two little humans the importance of kindness and compassion in a world where things move so fast.

On the SUITCASE & CHARDONNAY blog, I recently shared a post about raising gentle humans and how important the soft skills of noticing are. Following its successful debut, the Design Showcas

Following its successful debut, the Design Showcase – presented in collaboration with @designweeksouthafrica and RMB Latitudes Art Fair 2026 ( @latitudes.online ) – returns for a second edition, bringing together over 25 African brands in a curated celebration of contemporary design.

Taking place from 22 – 24 May 2026 at the enchanting Shepstone Gardens, the showcase invites visitors to explore a series of beautifully considered design spaces – each offering a unique perspective on craftsmanship, creativity and culture across the continent.

I bumped into a friend at the @pretoriaboeremark the other day and she said she'd listened to my podcast episode called 'A Different Lens on Fashion Trends' and that she'd found it rather inspirational. She then showed me the stunning olive green coat she bought and I was so chuffed that the SUITCASE & CHARDONNAY podcast served as inspiration for her intentional purchase!

The clutch bag in this picture was my mother's aunt's and I use it SO often. In fact, you might have seen it in many other posts before. It just goes to show that when you take the time to consider what you've got in your wardrobe already and when you play around with colours and textures, chances are that you can create a whole bunch of new outfits from it without having to buy new fashion pieces. Plus, accessories like a classic clutch go a long way!
