Thank you, @nehemamanor! Catha is on a hide and seek stage, so in the second photo she and daddy are hiding from me just outside of our room. P. S. Our day was not necessarily as tranquil as this. Catha has been sick all night last night, so we had had zero sleep between her and Elian. Still, in the end, it was a good day after all (and even though Catha did not feel all that well, she still swam in the pool twice today!) Elian exploring our accommodation for this weekend Elian exploring our accommodation for this weekend. Eeeek! We're staying in a treehouse! Well, almost. So tastefully decorated with everything you might need. Also, it's a mere hour's drive (16h00 on a Friday afternoon) from Pretoria and they have an awesome playground for the kids. @nehemamanor sure knows how to cater for young families. On our last evening away from home, we stayed at @ On our last evening away from home, we stayed at @de_oude_kraal_country_estate outside of Bloemfontein. Around every corner we found the most beautiful pictures and amidst peacocks and geese, outstretched lawns, afternoon tea, a divine dinner and fresh, Freestate air, we were able to relax for one last day before we fall back into reality and routine. Thank you to the De Oude Kraal team for making our stay so special. P. S. Their dinners are to die for! We took the road less travelled and stayed over in We took the road less travelled and stayed over in Nieu-Bethesda last night. @the_bethesda Guesthouse made us feel right at home. The room was spacious enough for the four of us (including a travel cot and a small mattress) and came with a full en suite bathroom with a lovely bath and shower. The guesthouse was filled with white blossoms in pretty little vases and many ornaments from the village like a little cement owl from the well-known Owl House just around the corner.
