Since its inaugural flight in 1953, Air France has been a true and trusted partner in connecting Paris and Joburg, and later also Cape Town. In fact, the airline has played a pivotal role in promoting international travel, fostering cultural exchange, tourism and business opportunities between France and South Africa.

Now, the airline has announced that it will be adding a seasonal route for the festive season. Come 17 October 2023, it will offer travellers the opportunity to take direct flights between Cape Town International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The seasonal route will be operating during the peak travel period on a Boeing Dreamliner 787-900 on Tuesdays and Sundays. Ultimately, it will allow travellers to experience the best of both cities.
