On 29 to 30 November 2025, guests are invited to step into a world where craftsmanship, creativity and fine wine come together for a beautifully curated weekend at Backsberg’s newly reimagined tasting facility. The event marks the official launch of Heidi Steck’s Summer 2025 Catalogue, presented alongside a selection of South Africa’s leading designers – including Exotic Kashmir, Beatrice von Tresckow, Denise Celia and BellaBrina Moda.

Expect a sensory celebration that blends high fashion with the artistry of winemaking, all set against the dramatic Mont Rochelle Mountain Range. Backsberg’s revitalised tasting room provides the perfect backdrop: contemporary, warm and designed to showcase both its full wine portfolio and the beauty of its surrounds. Visitors can enjoy elegant wine pairings, tapas-style dishes and direct wine purchases, making it an ideal festive outing or weekend escape.

The experience begins with an exclusive VIP Sundowner Launch Event on Friday, 28 November, where invited guests will toast to summer, style and a new season of South African creativity. From Saturday through to Sunday, the space opens to the public from 10:00 – 17:00, offering a relaxed, walk-in shopping and tasting experience. The timing also aligns perfectly with the Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival, creating a lively, celebratory atmosphere throughout the valley.
