This autumn, a brand-new family experience is set to enchant Joburg. From the creators of the beloved Luxurious Marble Circus comes The Magical Marble Family Fest – a wonder-filled, first-of-its-kind festival designed for families to play, explore and reconnect through́ joyfully, together.
Taking place on 9 and 10 May 2026 at James & Ethel Gray Park, this two-day celebration invites children, teens, parents and grandparents into a beautifully curated world where imagination takes centre stage. Presented by Grid Worldwide, G&G – The Goosebumps Company, The Marble Group and Investec, the festival promises a luxurious yet playful escape for every generation.

Inspired by the magic of the Luxurious Marble Circus, The Magical Marble Family Fest reimagines the experience through a child’s lens. Expect a multi-sensory universe filled with music, theatre, movement, playful indulgence and a touch of mischief – a reminder that true luxury lies in shared moments, not things.
Guiding families through this enchanted landscape is a cast of whimsical characters, each bringing their own personality and charm. From Nunu, the brave little leopard, to Zaza, the fabulously chic trendsetter, and Slo Mo, the effortlessly cool tortoise, these characters form the heart of the festival’s storytelling, leading explorers through worlds of colour, curiosity and play.

Among the standout attractions are experiences not found anywhere else in South Africa, including a custom-built carousel, a Willy Wonka-inspired sweet emporium complete with chocolate fountains and candy wheels, and an enchanted market offering one-of-a-kind festival keepsakes.

With Sunday falling on Mother’s Day, families can expect a sprinkle of extra magic dedicated to moms and minders. Thoughtful surprises, gentle moments and opportunities for togetherness make it a heartwarming way to celebrate those who make family life so special.
Beloved favourites from the Luxurious Marble Circus return – reimagined for family fun. The iconic Uncaged Carousel transforms into a playful milkshake and “funtail” bar, while the Pantry-inspired tasting station serves a variety of family-friendly food options.

While younger explorers immerse themselves in the festivities, adults can enjoy beautifully designed spaces just for them.
