Disney 100 Outdoor Cinema Experience

The Walt Disney Company celebrated its 100th anniversary on 16 October 2023, commemorating a century of joy and magic created by devoted fans and storytellers. As part of the ongoing festivities, the Disney100 Outdoor Cinema Experience will be making its way to Johannesburg and Cape Town this December, extending the celebrations for families across South Africa.

From 7 to 17 December, at the V&A Waterfront Croquet Lawn and Waterfall City Park at Mall of Africa, Disney enthusiasts of all ages can immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Disney with six timeless stories. Whether enjoyed during the warm summer days or beneath the stars in evening presentations, the experience promises to captivate audiences.

The featured films include Disney classics such as The Lion King (2019), Frozen 2, and Encanto, as well as Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory, along with the beloved musical The Greatest Showman.

In collaboration with FNB as part of its 100 Days of Summer campaign and Ster-Kinekor, the D100 Outdoor Cinema Experience provides a unique and magical experience for families during the festive season. Attendees are encouraged to enhance the atmosphere by dressing up as their favorite Disney characters and participating in various activations and activities alongside the film screenings.

Tickets are priced at R100 each, with a special 20% discount for FNB Card Holders, available for purchase at TicketPro.co.za. Ster-Kinekor will offer its renowned snack and confectionery options to complement the cinematic experience.
