The Bistro at Brookdale Estate will be celebrating Women’s Month with a special food and wine pairing dinner, hosted by talented winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer, on 29 August 2024.
The Winemaker’s dinner (R695 per person) on Thursday, 29 August 2024 will see Kiara team up with Executive chef Gary Coetzee, with the duo presenting a delicious 5-course menu to showcase the estate’s Mason Road range of wines.
The event will kick off with Smoked Springbok Tartar, paired with the red blend, Mason Road GSM 2023. Broccoli & Avocado Guacamole follows with a glass of Mason Road Chenin Blanc 2023, before Chef Gary heads to his favourite spot behind the grill to bring to the table Charcoal Fire King Prawns, enjoyed with Mason Road Serendipity Rosé 2022. The main course – Miso-glazed Fillet of Beef – will be complemented by Mason Road Syrah 2023, before the dinner ends on a high note with a Chocolate, Caramel & Peanut Butter Bar with Gelato and Peanut Brittle.
Bonus: The dessert will be accompanied by a sneak preview of Brookdale’s latest wine, Brookdale Petit Manseng 2023, which presents the typical, rich aromas of the cultivar in dried fruit and spice, honey, nuts and apricot.
Guests wanting to celebrate in style are invited to make a night of it and stay over in the luxurious Brookdale Manor House after dinner, at a special rate of R3500 per person sharing. This will include the Winemaker’s Dinner, accommodation and full breakfast. (Subject to availability).
