About last night... Located at The Club in Hazelw About last night... Located at The Club in Hazelwood, Pretoria, the brand-new Ostra Champagne & Oyster Bar saw patrons streaming in for its official launch last night. We got to dress up for the occasion too and as we listened to beautiful live music by the likes of Cathy Del May and tenor Stefan Louw, together with a string quartet, we indulged in fresh oysters and exquisite fish and meat dishes. We were welcomed with a glass of @moetchandon , whereafter we paired our meal with a Chardonnay from @labrunewines . It's safe to say that this is now a favourite Pretoria restaurant for us, especially for those days when we're craving the freshest fish in town. Price-wise you might be pleasantly surprised when it comes to the food menu. Their set menu, consisting of 5 incredible courses, was priced at R650 per person. That excludes your drinks, though, with wines served only by the bottle and no wines by the glass. Haven't been exercising much over the past two wee Haven't been exercising much over the past two weeks since I drove myself and the kids down to the Garden Route for the school holidays. I went for a 4.5km run one day, but that was pretty much it. So nice to be back at @f45_training_waterkloof again. One thing is certain, I can feel it everywhere this week! In my glutes, my arms, my shoulders, my back... Today was lower body training... Hectic, but loved it. Also... I don't know how it happened, but Wikus' interest in intermittent fasting kind of convinced me to try it too... So, I've been trying it since Monday this week and one of the immediate changes I noticed, was my reduced cravings for sweet things. I am not one for diets or fasting, but this feels like a lifestyle change I might be able to stick to. We stop eating at 18:00 and then only break the fast the next morning at 10:00. That's 16 hours and it's manageable. Why did I want to give it a go? - A friend of ours has lost a lot of weight only by doing intermittent fasting and exercising. I've slowly been picking up weight over the past few months and would like to get back into shape. - Wikus has been seeing an increase in energy levels and his concentration span. I would like to see if it has the same effect on me and if it van perhaps even assist with mental health and overall well-being. Seated across from me in Eendracht Hotel & Apartments’ breakfast room, was an older gentleman with his i-Pad in hand, laughing out loud at a video online. As Stellenbosch slowly awoke, I sat listening to vehicles passing by and observing locals as they hurried to work. I was right in the middle of it all – submerged in the Stellies life – and I loved it. I’d always wondered how it would be to live in the historic town of Stellenbosch and here I was, experiencing a glimpse of it from the comfort of one of the oldest properties in town.
