When people ask me why I enjoy drinking wine, I te When people ask me why I enjoy drinking wine, I tell them it's for the memories made while enjoying the wine. My official fondness for wine dates back to 2010, when I moved to Cape Town. My father drove down with me and while we wanted to drive straight through from Joburg, at one point we were just too tired and I found us accommodation in the nearest town: Matjiesfontein. We stayed in the beautiful vintage hotel and that night, we indulged in 'boerekos' like I had never had before. Plus, my father ordered a bottle of red wine for the table, and we polished it. The memories of the conversations we had - me and my dad - the delicious food and just the overall atmosphere are etched in my heart forever. That's what wine did for me. I only later learned how special Cap Classique is and Graham Beck must be one of the most special Cap Classiques I've ever tasted. I believe you can taste authenticity and passion and in Graham Beck, you taste both. Thank you, Graham Beck, for including me in your 40-year-celebrations. What an honour to have experienced the unique 'look-in-the-eye' cheers gesture and to have been included in such a fine group of people who all enjoy the joys of bubbles. I tasted some very special Cap Classiques today and it was such a privilege. To the next 40 years, Graham Beck!
