When it comes to fashion, I’ll always return for another episode of Emily in Paris. That is why I am happy to say that the fun fashion series’ 4th season will soon be releasing on Netflix. In fact, they have recently revealed first look images from the upcoming season, serving as proof that costume designer, Marylin Fitoussi did not hold back.
“Emily is really coming into her own, asserting herself, becoming much stronger with a style that is reinterpreting Parisian fashion codes,” Fitoussi told Tudum.com. “And our motto was obviously to have fun, but to take maximum risks.”
On her Instagram, Lily Collins who plays Emily Cooper in the fashion-inspired series, dropped a few looks, saying: “It’s my pleasure to FINALLY share a first look at season four. With every new season comes new fashion choices, and Emily’s winter wardrobe will not disappoint. Hope these get you as excited for August 15 as I am…”
Well, I am saying ‘Oui’ for these looks. Let Emily Cooper inspire you to change your winter wardrobe up a bit and to wear your favourites with confidence.
Monocrhome is the Main Act
Many of Emily Cooper’s new outfits in the new season of Emily in Paris lean toward the monochrome trend – whether it’s a royal blue suit for Parisian alleys or an all-black outfit for the alps. Of course, her outfits are elevated even further with stylish glasses and mini bags that add a touch of glam to her generally one-coloured look.
It’s also clear that primary colours will play a huge part in the new season’s fashion impressions, with royal blue, mustard yellow and firebrick red shining through as key inspirational elements for the season.
Bags and Bags of Tiny Bags
Tiny bags are a thing and we know it. Now, Emily in Paris proves that textured tiny bags are here to stay, with stunning options that meticulously match her outfits and add a dash of je ne sais quoi. Here, detail is key, especially when she is wearing a monochrome outfit. Think quilted mini bags with tassels, tiny bags bedazzled with beads, wool covered tiny bags and minimalist leather bags with brightly coloured, animated lines.
A hat for every occasion
From the classic French wool beret to a daring fur Cossack hat, Emily wears it with confidence. In fact, in Emily in Paris Season 4, she is also seen wandering European streets wearing an elegant, black duckbill beret, bound to turn heads.
Hints of Quiet Luxury in Emily in Paris Season 4
While Emily is all for brightly coloured outfits which she mixes and matches with all kinds of exciting add-ons, Season 4 also sees her slaying in black. Leaning toward the monochromatic trend here too, these outfits boast some metallic textures here and furry textures there. Somehow, these all-black outfits are subtly and effortlessly elevated to quiet luxury – a look I’ve yet to grow tired of.
All for Faux Fur
Winter is all about cosy comforts and well, Emily in Paris Season 4 sure brings it all with a variety of fashionable faux fur coats. Even Sylvie (played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) pulls a stunning wide-collared fur coat over her shoulders in one scene.
Of course, Emily doesn’t shy away from wearing it boldly, coupling a checkered mini skirt and textured tights with a thick, colour block faux fur coat featuring a combination of blue, black, purple and pink.
Stripes for the fashion tribes
Stripes are in too, with Emily showing off a beautiful red and white striped fitted blazer in the upcoming season – perfect for a more casual, yet fashionable look. Now, that’s the kind of look I will be opting for come the change of season. It’s ideal for an outdoor setting where you still want to look chic and the perfect blazer to have at hand as you transition from winter to spring.
Red is rad in Emily in Paris Season 4
Riding the train of reds, the fashionista is also spotted in a loose fitting, red leather jacket in a scene with Alfie (played by Lucien Laviscount), which she cleverly paired with a typically French beret.
One thing is certain, Emily in Paris Season 4 will be filled with fashion bound to inspire you to step into your own.
Emily in Paris Season 4 will be split into two five-episode parts, with Part 1 premiering on 15 August 2024, and Part 2 on 12 September 2024.
