Named after American chef, Guy Fieri, his South African Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar – based at Time Square, Pretoria – has reopened its doors with a new entrance separate from the Time Square Casino gaming floor, which opens it up to the whole family!

RECIPE: MINI MUSHROOM WELLINGTONS
Time Square‘s General Manager, Ruben Gooranah says that the addition of the new entrance to the restaurant allows for under 18s to also dine at Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar now. Adjacent to the Magic Company Arcade, the venue boasts ample opportunities to keep youngsters entertained. The dining spot is now much more family-friendly and even boasts a brand-new food and drinks menu. The menu includes dishes by Chef Guy Fieri, who is known for TV shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games. The menu also has a couple of dishes that are unique to the Pretoria-based restaurant.
One thing is for sure – you need to come hungry! The menu celebrates Fieri’s heritage, offering hearty dishes that are hard to say no to. This includes American Royal Ribs, Big Bite Burgers and signature knuckle sandwiches like the Rise and Swine French Toast. They are, however, also keeping with the trend of shareable, lighter bites like Fieri’s Trash Can Nachos, an Onion Flower Bomb and Dragon Chili Cheese Fries, as well as a selection of salads.
So, if you’re looking for a restaurant that also comes with entertainment, Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar at Time Square is the place to be! Gooranah says: “Our mechanical bull is going to enthral a whole new age group – but we don’t advise that too many Cookies & Cream milkshakes are consumed beforehand.”
