SUMMARY:Garden Town Stellenbosch 2026
DESCRIPTION:From 23 October to 1 November 2026\, Stellenbosch is in bloom and you can experience it between 23 October and 1 November 2026. Take part in the celebration of nature\, creativity and community as Garden Town Stellenbosch returns for its fifth year. \nDuring the event\, visitors can discover more than 14 private home gardens\, rarely open to the public\, alongside more than 12 public gardens\, including the celebrated gardens of Babylonstoren\, Spier and Tokara. Whether you’re passionate about garden design\, seeking inspiration for your own outdoor space or simply looking for a beautiful excuse to explore the Cape Winelands\, there’s plenty to explore. \nSUBSCRIBE TO THE SUITCASE & CHARDONNAY PODCAST \nThe Grand Flower Parade through Stellenbosch’s town centre is a highlight every year\, as well as the garden show at the Town Hall featuring more than 70 vendors\, and a programme of over 40 workshops\, talks and displays. Expect fresh ideas\, floral inspiration and opportunities to connect with the people and creativity shaping the region’s garden culture. \nBeyond the blooms\, Garden Town Stellenbosch celebrates the connection between tourism and community. The initiative encourages visitors to linger longer and explore beyond the familiar\, creating opportunities for local makers\, businesses and neighbourhoods to share their stories. This includes Kayamandi’s community vegetable garden\, which highlights the role of gardening in bringing people together. Profits from private garden entry fees will be donated to the Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch. \nA Stellenbosch Municipality initiative hosted by Visit Stellenbosch\, Garden Town offers a fresh perspective on one of the Cape Winelands’ most loved destinations – where gardens become a gateway to local culture\, thoughtful design and slower\, more meaningful travel. \nWhen: 23 October – 1 November 2026\nWhere: Various gardens and venues across Stellenbosch\nFind out more: Visit the official Visit Stellenbosch website for programme details\, participating gardens and ticket information. \nFIND MORE EXCITING EVENTS AND HAPPENINGS HERE
